For a healthier option, use classic flour or white-spelt flour. I love to use this whole grain flour in this recipe. Because it has all the benefits of 100%, like fibre, enzymes, and energizing vitamins, but doesn’t taste as “wheaty” as whole grain flour.
For the most natural sweetness, use the ripest bananas you can find. Most of mine were black. It’s neat! Since bananas come in many different sizes, measure 1 1/2 cups of the mashed banana. I don’t like how liquidy frozen bananas are, so that’s not a good idea.
Dark Chocolate Chips
If you want to make healthy vegan banana bread, use sugar-free dark chocolate chips. These chocolate chips are sweetened with sugar-free sweeteners such as stevia and erythritol. Without adding sugar, it makes the bread sweet.
